The role of the Co-ordinator is critical to the functioning of the all-island food safety Knowledge Network run by safefood and represents an exciting opportunity for a talented and enthusiastic individual.
The role will support the activities of this member-based community and be responsible for the coordination, planning, delivery and promotion of associated activities; ensuring that the overall objectives are met; playing an active role as a member of the Food Science team within safefood, and especially contributing to the wider activities of the team in its effort to promote food safety to small food producers.
The postholder will be employed by Queen's University Belfast, but will be seconded full-time to safefood, at its headquarters in Co Cork but the work plan will include some travel across the island of Ireland. The contract shall be for a duration of three years.
