The Food Information for Consumers Regulation (No. 1169/2011) came into force in December 2014 and requires caterers to provide their customers with information on 14 common food allergens.

If you, your child or family member have a food hypersensitivity (food allergy, food intolerance or coeliac disease) we are very anxious to hear your views on the impact of this legislation.  Your answers will help us determine if the legislation has improved the ability of caterers to serve safe food and to communicate allergen information effectively.  This information will also help to inform the development of future policy in the area of food allergen control.
