Context of the role:

Following the recent publication of the organisation’s new strategic priorities for the next five years, the Belfast Comms team requires additional resource, in the area of Media Relations and Events.

The Agency’s communications objectives centre on bringing the voice of the consumer into the heart of what the FSA does. To achieve real behaviour change we need to ramp up campaign activity in the coming year. This work will be delivered through the Communications teams in England, Wales and Northern Ireland, working through agencies, partners, local authorities and closely with policy and operations colleagues.

The role supports the reactive and proactive activity of the Communications Team in Northern Ireland and UK wide, promoting the profile and reputation of the Agency and its work to media and stakeholders. The role supports the Communications Manager in delivering the Communications Strategy and takes the lead in preparing and delivering media handling plans, identifying and managing FSA in NI attendance at events and managing contracts associated with communications activities.
