The Food Standards Agency (FSA) are seeking to recruit a Chair of the Northern Ireland Food Advisory Committee, who is also the FSA Board member for Northern Ireland. He or she will advise the FSA Board on matters relating to Northern Ireland and will be appointed by Northern Ireland Ministers.

Candidates must be able to demonstrate achievement in a Board-level leadership role. They must have a proven ability in strategic planning and evaluating risk, and evidence of having driven change. The successful candidate will have delivered improvement across a diverse, multi-faceted stakeholder population and have a genuine interest and understanding of the issues relating to food safety and standards. Experience in the food industry, food standards, consumer engagement, communications and public affairs, local government, veterinary science, public health, third sector or enforcement would be helpful.
