The latest food scare involving dioxins has emerged in the Dutch egg industry.
Investigators are zoning in on an organic poultry unit which was supplying eggs to a packing station in Belgium. From there, the eggs were being sold to a retail chain in Luxembourg and Belgium and an egg-product manufacturing plant.
Neither the Dutch nor Belgian safety authorities were able to confirm how many eggs were involved or what the cause of the contamination was. However, all the affected products have been withdrawn from sale.
German meat and eggs were hit by a similar scare in January.
