This report describes the structure, contents and outcomes of the event organised by EFSA on the
occasion of the 17th International Association for Food Protection (IAFP) European Symposium held
29-31 March 2017 in Brussels, Belgium. The session “Identification of Emerging Risks in Food –
Different Approaches to Achieve a Common Goal” aimed at raising awareness on the methodologies
used by international organizations, academia and industry for the identification of emerging risks.
