Vacancy: Nutrition Intern (FSA)

The FSA is launching a new student programme offering one student a 12 month paid placement from July 2016 for those studying a nutrition discipline. As a nutrition student within the FSA you will be located in the Belfast office within the Standards and Dietary Health Team. 

List duties and responsibilities including: 

• Become familiar with current, relevant nutrition related reports including NDNS, Kantar, NI Retailer Promotions and complete data analysis and merging of results, as required. 

• Review content of FSA in NI website to provide updates and develop additional resources based on recently published reports and emerging evidence. 

• Review, develop and evaluate resources for population groups and subject areas as required including, but not limited to, education resources, the Eatwell Guide, Food Standards Training Manual, Activ8. 

• Support the promotion, uptake and implementation of Menucal among local businesses by collation of data, creating reports, developing resources including a training package and participation in workshops. 

• Work with Communications Team to support dietary health messaging and other business objectives. 

• Provide training in the area of nutrition and dietary health to individuals and groups as required. 

• Actively engage with colleagues across the FSA to obtain an appreciation and understanding of their work and to undertake training, as deemed appropriate to enable them to fulfil the duties and activities that they are allocated.
