As an experienced manager you will coordinate the scientific work of the Animal and Plant Health Unit – with a staff of around 25 persons - and the EFSA Panels on Animal Health and Welfare and Plant Health, implementing the Unit’s work programme in line with EFSA’s strategy.
Your Responsibilities
- Experienced scientist – Coordinate and oversee the scientific work of the unit and the Animal Health and Welfare and Plant Health Panels;
- Talent manager – Develop and retain the talent required to implement the Unit’s work programme in line with EFSA’s strategy;
- Strategic leader – Provide vision, direction and leadership to achieve the Unit’s mission;
- Trusted business adviser – Advice the RASA Head of Department on the strategic planning and help defining the priorities in line with EFSA’s overall strategy and objectives;
- Partnership enabler – Fuel cooperation and enable partnership with a wide range of stakeholders and external organisations.
