Location: Belfast
The Food Standards Agency in Northern Ireland is responsible for ensuring food safety and the provision of advice on food safety and diet and nutrition issues to consumers, both directly and via a range of stakeholders.
The Executive Support Unit provides administration support for the Operational Policy and Delivery, Local Authority Policy and Delivery and Consumer Protection teams in FSA in NI.
Some of the roles and responsibilities of the post are;
- Responsible for the organisation of meetings for internal and external stakeholders (providing secretariat and hospitality when required)
- Issuing and managing correspondence with stakeholders eg submissions, enforcement letters and consultations
- Represent the Agency in Northern Ireland by attendance at seminars, workshops and events as required
- Responsible for the co-ordination, recording and timely dissemination of shellfish sampling results to all relevant parties
