safefood would like to invite applications for the above position in our Cork main office.
The job holder will assist safefood’s Director of Human Health and Nutrition in carrying out the functions in nutrition. The activities will include providing nutritional guidance for safefood initiatives and campaigns, translating scientific information into best practice for promoting healthy eating and working in collaboration with external agencies. The role is one that requires flexibility and the ability to distil complex public health nutrition issues in the broader public health context.
Qualifications and experience include:
- Postgraduate degree in Nutritional Sciences or related area
- At least five years experience in public health nutrition and projects including research, report writing, collating, evaluating and disseminating information
- Experience in health promotion.
