Teagasc is seeking to recruit a Technologist with a proven track record in Food/Dairy science with experience in processing of dairy ingredients and formulations in which they are incorporated. Under the guidance of the Project Leader and in conjunction with the post-doctoral scientists involved in the project, the appointed technologist will be responsible for the organization and control of a variety of process unit-operations (thermal, separations and dehydration) at pilot scale.
The appointee will be involved in experimental / process design and will be required to carry out analytical methodologies (HPLC, particle size, microstructure and rheological analysis) to support development/processing of dairy based (milk, skim, whey) concentrates, ingredients and formulations (including fortified milk powders and infant formula powders). The successful candidate will work strategically with Teagasc and University scientists as part of a state funded initiative in dairy processing in collaboration with industry.
