The Advisory Committee on Animal Feedingstuffs (ACAF) is seeking a new committee member. ACAF advises the Food Standards Agency on the safety and use of animal feeds and feeding practices, with particular emphasis on protecting human health.
ACAF is seeking a new member with knowledge and experience in enforcement issues, knowledge of feedingstuffs legislation as well as with some committee experience. Candidates must be effective team workers, able to demonstrate effective written and verbal communication skills and sound judgement with strong analytical and problem solving skills. To be ACAF members, candidates must be able to work in a committee structure and weigh issues outside their own specialist area. This post represents an excellent opportunity to contribute to food safety and standards in the UK by providing advice on this key stage of the food chain.
