The Food Standards Agency Chair Heather Hannock is inviting applications for six new members of the Advisory Committee on the Microbiological Safety of Food (ACMSF).
The posts for a clinician with expertise in public health medicine, an expert in clinical microbiology and an enforcement officer with expertise in environmental health will become vacant from 30 November 2016. The post of medical microbiologist will become vacant in March 2017. There are two existing vacancies: an expert in commercial catering and in consumer issues.
The ACMSF is the independent expert committee which advises the FSA on microbiological food safety.
Committee members are not paid. They receive remuneration for attendance at meetings and reimbursement of reasonable expenses.
