Tuesday 11 February, the Intelligence and Investigation Service of the Dutch Food and Consumer Product Safety Authority (NVWA-IOD) searched 2 homes and 3 business premises in different parts of the Netherlands. This was done in a criminal investigation into the illegal export of processed animal proteins from ruminants. Among other things, administration has been seized. In addition, more than 4 million euros have been seized on bank credits and real estate of the main suspect. No suspects have been arrested yet.
