The Stagiaire Programme (Marine Institute Student Programme for recent graduates) is designed to enable recent graduates to gain work experience in an area in which they are interested. As part of Fisheries Ecosystems Advisory Services (FEAS) you will:

  • Provide administrative support to the work activities of the Section Manager and Director.
  • Assist FEAS personnel with fish sampling at ports, assist with general laboratory duties and input of data into the FEAS data base system.
  • Occasionally you may be required to assist on sea surveys.
  • You will also support the work of the Fisheries Ecosystems Advisory Services teams.

This Stagiaire position is an excellent training opportunity for a recent graduate of biology with some experience of business& administration or a related subject.

Duration of Contract

The fixed term, fixed purpose Graduate Training contract will run for a maximum of 50 weeks. The successful candidate will be on probation for the first 6 months of this training contract.
