Experience and expertise in food safety
My expertise is the area of microbial food safety and addresses key pathogens including verocytotoxigenic E. coli in the "farm to fork" chain. My research covers the transmission, behaviour, virulence and emergence of microbial food borne pathogens, and links with the development of quantitative microbial risk assessment models.
