The Food Safety Consultative Council of the Food Safety Authority of Ireland (FSAI) acts as a forum for debate on food safety issues and provides advice to the FSAI Board on areas of relevance. It is a constructive vehicle for consumers and industry to provide input to the agenda of the FSAI.

This open meeting will discuss the food consumption behaviour of the Irish consumer and how this is influenced by the various influences in our lives, e.g. advertising, Government regulation and peer pressure. The panel debate will involve input from small food business owners, scientists, a newspaper columnist and an advertising expert
