This conference will examine policy priorities for strengthening food security in the UK and building sector resilience in the face of present and future challenges.
It will be a timely opportunity to assess policy developments including:
- the Agriculture Act - outlining a new agricultural system, it includes a commitment from the Government to report on the state of UK food security to Parliament every three years, with the first report due by the end of 2021
- the National Food Strategy - which made several recommendations due to inform a government white paper in the first months of 2022
- the Environment Act - approved in November 2021, the act informs the post-Brexit environmental policy landscape in the UK
