Free webinar: Risk analysis and UK authorisation of substances in food and feed - what you need to know for January 2021

From 1 January 2021 the Food Standards Agency (FSA) and Food Standards Scotland (FSS) will take over responsibility from European Food Safety Authority (EFSA) and the European Commission for carrying out risk analysis. The FSA and FSS will make recommendations to Ministers on whether to authorise certain food and animal feed products, as well as any new products or processes for the UK market where this is required by legislation. This can impact on your business.

Join our webinar to meet members of the FSA team who will explain the authorisation process for regulated products such as:

  • food and feed additives
  • flavourings
  • genetically modified foods
  • food contact materials

You are invited to attend one of two dates:

  • Thursday 12 November 2020 (9.30-11.00 GMT)
  • Monday 16 November 2020 (14.00-15.30 GMT)

The event will include a question and answer session. This seminar will cover the assessment and management of food risk and regulated products only.
