The 5-year-EU "EFFORT" ("Ecology from Farm to Fork Of microbial drug Resistance and Transmission") Project, funded by the European Commission, aims at understanding the ecology and epidemiology of antimicrobial resistance (AMR) in the food chain.
The project results will inform political decisions and help prioritize risk-management options along the food chain.
From 26 to 28 November 2018, the European EFFORT consortium of 20 partners will hold its International Conference “Antimicrobial Resistance in the Food Chain – From Science to Policy”.
