The Food Safety Authority of Ireland (FSAI) would like to present ‘Breakfast Bites’, a series of free, informal meetings for small food businesses. Here, we provide useful information on the topics you want to know more about.

Our upcoming Breakfast Bite is on: “starting a food business – what you need to know”

Are you thinking of starting a food business? All food businesses, big or small, whether operating from a business premises, in the home or from a mobile unit or food stall, must be aware of the legislation regarding food hygiene and food safety. Ultimately, you are responsible for ensuring the food you produce and sell is safe to eat.

In this short Breakfast Bite, Foteini Bompola (FSAI) will outline what you need to do in order to set up a food business, who you should talk to and what food legislation you need to comply with. The presentation will cover all types of food businesses, including food trucks and other mobile units. There will be an opportunity to ask Foteini questions at the end of her presentation.
