Greater cooperation between the European Food Safety Authority (EFSA) and EU Member States in the areas of risk assessment and regulated product approval, underpins efforts to ensure food produced and consumed in Europe meets the highest standards of food safety and hygiene.
To highlight this, the Food Safety Authority of Ireland (FSAI) is hosting a free, half-day conference which will bring EU experts on regulated products and emerging risks, together with stakeholders in the food industry, to discuss EFSA’s evaluation process for the safety of regulated food ingredients and the techniques it currently uses to identify emerging risks in the food industry.
