The workshop is intended to address issues around hazards associated with DNT that are particularly relevant to the regulatory risk assessment of pesticides and industrial chemicals in general. It will to contribute to the identification of in vitro methods that are close to standardisation/validation and the development of an integrated approach to testing and assessment (IATA) based on in vitro neurotoxicity assays complementary to in vivo assays included in OECD TG 426. These advances will enable screening for DNT potential of pesticides and other chemicals entering food chains. The workshop will be held in collaboration with the OECD.
