Background

The Transparency Regulation will become applicable on 27 March 2021 and will introduce new services, processes and provisions affecting – among others – business operators and applicants. The notification of studies database and pre-submission advice are among the main novelties established.

With this in mind, EFSA will hold a public webinar for potential applicants, business operators and laboratory/testing facilities to introduce the main aspects related to the notification of studies process and how to obtain general pre-submission advice and advice on renewal.

This webinar, hosted by EFSA staff, will introduce new processes and tools that will be in place after the regulation becomes applicable.

The webinar will cover the following topics:

  • User registration.
  • Pre-application identification.
  • Notification of studies.
  • General pre-submission advice.
  • Notification of the list of intended studies and renewal pre-submission advice.

Participants will be able to submit questions during the webinar. Collected questions will be used to develop case studies that will be shown in a second webinar scheduled for March. EFSA will publish a recording of the webinar on its website.
