This seminar will provide an opportunity to consider progress and priorities for the Groceries Code Adjudicator, and next steps for ensuring integrity and assurance in the food chain.
Planned sessions focus on the work being done by the Groceries Code Adjudicator in enforcing the Groceries Supply Code of Practice. Delegates will also discuss the changes that have been made by the Groceries Code Adjudicator so far, and future priorities of the GCA in moving towards a fairer food supply chain.
Delegates will also discuss challenges for implementing the recommendations of the Elliott review into the integrity and assurance of food supply networks: final report - including the creation of a new Food Crime Unit and ensuring a resilient network of food analytical laboratories – following the recent release of the Government's response to the report.
