Aim of workshop
The aim of this event is to gather and share existing knowledge and identify key gaps to steer future research in foodborne viruses.

Key speakers will present on the latest developments in viruses that are transmitted through the food chain. The event will explore regulatory issues and challenges in detection of foodborne viruses whilst facilitating discussion around the methods for controlling virus in the food industry. Case studies will include the EU outbreak of hepatitis A virus linked to frozen berries and Norovirus which is associated with the consumption of Shellfish.

Representatives from the food industry, food producers, members from the catering industry, regulators and other government departments
