This FREE 60 minute webinar is the second webinar in a two part series and is a joint collaboration between Dr James McIntosh (safefood) and Dr Pat O’Mahony (Food Safety Authority of Ireland). Pat will present the regulatory aspects and James will aid in discussion from an advisory view point on Food Allergen Labelling for non-prepacked food.
In 2016 and early 2017, safefood ran a series of workshops for SMEs on the island of Ireland. The workshops were carried out in partnership with Teagasc-Moorepark as well as the College of Agriculture, Food and Rural Enterprise (CAFRE) - Cookstown. Their purpose was to help SME personnel understand the essential elements of safe food production including bacterial control, hygiene, traceability and food allergen management.
This webinar is a follow-on to these workshops and will focus on food allergen labelling for non-prepacked food. This webinar will be of interest to ANYONE working in the food catering industry from garage forecourts, restaurants, takeaways, pubs, hotels, B&Bs, retailers, schools, food stalls/farmers markets, hospitals/care homes, childcare facilities, detention centres, contract caterers, air, rail & boat travel, charitable institutions & suppliers and anywhere in-between!
