Shiga-toxin producing E. coli (STEC) are concerning organisms for the food industry with outbreaks reported on a regular basis. In extreme cases, STEC food poisoning can be life threatening.
Though less severe, Salmonella also causes food poisoning and remains infamous for its ability to cause food safety issues. It’s therefore important to keep up to date with the latest detection methods and technologies for these virulent species.
This seminar will do just that as it will allow delegates to:
- hear about recent outbreaks from experts in industry
- discuss the latest initiatives to control these two important pathogens, and
- network with attendees from industry
Delegates will hear from experts in industry. This includes Prof. Roberto La Ragione from the University of Surrey who will cover the latest diagnostics and control strategies for STEC.
