An E. Coli outbreak in 2011 affected over 3,000 people and led to 53 deaths. In 2014 the Food Standards Agency updated guidance on E. coli O157 and the control of cross contamination, which food businesses are expected to follow.

This course is the first in a new series devised by the CIEH for food professionals to update your knowledge of microbiology and E. coli O157, and will help you to understand the guidance and how it may apply to your business. The course will cover theory as well as practical examples, case studies and group work to help you keep your customers safe.
