Any supply chain, no matter how simple or complex, can present risks that need to be adequately managed. Food Authenticity is under the spotlight from food retailers, manufacturers, ingredient suppliers, the food service sector, consumers, the media and of course the regulatory authorities.
Join the Food & Drink Federation (FDF) and Leatherhead Food Research at this interactive and participative short course, which will highlight some of the 'due diligence' checks you should be considering with regards to product integrity, quality and safety, including fraud, adulteration and substitution. How can you ensure you know as much as the seller about the product for sale?
This course will also introduce you to the concepts of TACCP in a broad sense covering both Threat Analysis and Temptation Analysis where there is the potential for economic fraud or substitution. You will also be asked to adopt the mind-set of a fraudster and ‘think like a criminal’. In addition, you will be introduced to the Five Step Guide to help protect your business from food fraud developed by the Food and Drink Federation (FDF).
During the course of the day you will be introduced to Horizon Scanning software and techniques to identify risk within product categories, country risk profiles and both historical examples and emerging threats and therefore potential issues of concern.
