The Food Safety Authority of Ireland (FSAI) would like to present ‘Breakfast Bites’,a series of free, informal breakfast meetings for food businesses. Here, we provide useful information on the topics you want to know more about. These events are very helpful if you own or work in a small food business and also for those of you who want to get your new food business off the ground.

Our upcoming Breakfast Bite is on: How to manage food safety in your business

Food Safety Management Systems

Lisa O’Connor (FSAI) will outline what a Food Safety Management System is and why you must put one in place. She will discuss why this system must be based on the principles of Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point (HACCP). Lisa will explain the HACCP principles and how the legislation allows for flexibility in how they are applied. She will also outline the support material available. There will be an opportunity to ask Lisa questions at the end of her presentation.
