Background

Are you interested in food science, communications, law or human resources? Would you like to experience at first-hand what it is like to work for an EU institution? The European Food Safety Authority offers a unique opportunity to young university graduates to gain professional experience related to their field of specialisation in an organisation committed to ensuring that European food is safe. At any one time we have a group of about 50 trainees and study visitors working in our various departments.

Trainees at EFSA have the opportunity to immerse themselves in our work and that of the European food safety system in general, experience that can act as a springboard for a number of career choices. As a trainee, you’ll have an important role in supporting the activities of your assigned unit, working in a dynamic, multicultural scientific environment.

You will work alongside experienced scientists and have access to your own personal adviser, all of whom will help you to get the most out of your time at EFSA. Join EFSA through the 2016 Traineeship Programme, which will be launched in mid- May 2016.

Who should attend?

The meeting is intended for all interested parties from universities (e.g. researchers, staff members, members of alumni associations, students, etc.).
