<p>Their study report, published in the journal <em>PLOS Genetics</em>, reports that the susceptibility of the bacterium <em>Listeria monocytogenes</em> to the antibiotic is complex and involves interactions between resistance and virulence genes and the environment.</p>

<p>Following shutdown and cleaning, all tests at the Baja production site were negative for the presence of <em>Listeria monocytogenes</em>, according to a statement from Greenyard Frozen, which is part of the multinational Greenyard Group.</p>
